Here it is again, Pop Punk Prodigies edition number 2! I decided to continue with the idea to put a promising pop punk band in the spotlight on my blog because there aren’t that many bands playing this genre like they should. Not about the looks, not going with the current trends, just bands who love to play music they like and grew up with. I’ve been a real pop punk fan in my teenage years. I listened to Blink182, Sum41, New Found Glory and a lot of pop punk bands from that period of time. And it’s something I grew up with and it still has a solid place in my heart. Music trends come and go but the purest forms of music are still ‘Hardcore’ and ‘Pop Punk’ It deserves attention, period
So back to this week’s Pop Punk Prodigy. It’s ‘Run For It’ a band from Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Run For It is a great example of bands who don’t adapt to current music trends. Good old Pop Punk sound with a vocalist who sings with passion and skill also the band members come up as honest, true and normal dudes who like to play their kind of music.
‘Run For It’ is one of those bands you really should look out for. I think this band really has what it takes to become big. Just listen for yourself, they released their music video for the song ‘Hidden In Plain Sight’ on September 25 and already has 900 views!
