The Eyes Of A Traitor or 'TEOAT' for short, is a band I watched grow in the past few years. They've gone to a lot of musical fases, from deathcore to metal with hardcore influences and beyond. I was hooked after they released 'A Clear Perception' and after an underground gig in a youth centre in Belgium, they became one of my favorite bands. 'A Clear Perception' was more metal with deathcore influences. I loved their guitar work which I found absolutely amazing. This record was one of those records which filled up my CD player for a lot of months.
After 'A Clear Perception' it went quiet for quite some time. They did grow as persons and it reflected on their music. Their last record 'Breathless' was a more metal/hardcore influenced album. 'deathcore' was history and 'Breathless' was a big improvement. It stood strong and appealed many people, not just the fans of metal but also the deathcore and hardcore fans.
They released their new record/EP called 'The Disease' A four track EP which doesn't resemble its fellow low threshold EP's. Ok, their songs are short but I have never felt this pumped in a long time. Their vocalist 'Jack Delaney' sound like he's about to explode, his vocals are unbelievable powerful and lyric wise their new EP excels from their previous releases. Also the rest of the band is extremely talented which really stood out on this EP.
If you get the chance to order this EP, really do. It's amazing for a four song EP!
Check out 'Into Dust' one of the four songs of their new EP 'The Disease'
