The single was released as part of a 3-track extended play, including another track entitled "Bite The Hand". On 13 February, the single debuted at number 38 on the UK Singles Chart,[1] also reaching number 5 on the independent releases chart[2] and number 6 on the dance releases chart.[3] The music video of the new version of their single 'Sunlight' was released on You Tube on the 3 July, passing 1 million views within four days, also making the Radio 1 A-list and debuting at number 16 in the UK charts. Another track, 'To The Stars' has also made it onto the Radio 1 A-list and is due to be released on November 6th.

As you’ve seen I’ve started a new topic on my blog called ‘Best Of Dubstep’. I’ve been a dubstep fan for years and finally it gets the attention it deserves. Dubstep is kind of the alternative version of electro music. We all heard some dubstep before, charismatic for this type of music are the catchy electro tunes combined with ear thrilling bass drops. We’ve seen ‘Nero’ ‘Borgore’ and ‘Skrillex’ take the dubstep throne in the mainstream world, but I think it’s time some other artists take their rightful place amongst these giants.
Modestep is one of those groups who deserve to be there. Modestep is a unique feature of the dubstep world because it’s a rock band combined with the typical dubstep sounds. It really creates a unique sound and it’s refreshing to listen to. Also what I like about Modestep is that they actually make their own music. Most dubstep dj's just mix certain pieces together to a whole which Modestep doesn’t do. They have the typical rock band line-up combined with a DJ which creates a cool mix of different sounds and musical influences.

The song ‘Sunlight’ should’ve been the summer hit, it’s catchy, unique and just plain awesome.

You like Modestep? Check out ‘To The Stars’ one of their best songs!
