Try Me/Love Me started as a side project from none other than Charlie Holmes, lead singer of Heart In Hand and Lexi Clark, drummer from Hearts Under Fire. Many people wondered what to expect. The result was surprising. The band brings a well-produced, melodic take on the modern day Hardcore sound. Their EP ‘Young Love’ speaks of hatred, heart breaks, deceit and betrayal in just four songs. It will keep you on the edge of your seat from the minute you start listening.

vrijdag 15 maart 2013 15:02 Reckless Suicide debut EP 'Black Clouds' (0)
It’s been a
struggle for all you metalheads lately. Every band you come across sounds like your
typical metalcore breakdown band. They’re popping up like rabbits on xtc.
Luckily for you guys there’s a band from the town of Gemert in the Netherlands
who will probably please your cravings.
Their debut
EP ‘Black Clouds’ brings a unique approach to Metal as a genre. A bit of
thrash, metal and core deliver a sound suitable for a wide audience. What surprised
me the most are the unexpected clean vocals. Not your typical whiny cleans,
hell no! Prepare yourself for some passionate and suitable cleans backed up by
some hard hitting riffs and occasional breakdowns.
Reckless Suicide, a band who hit harder than Badr Hari in rage mode.

dinsdag 19 februari 2013 03:39 Napoleon release Brought Here To Suffer (0)
Intelligent, melody driven hardcore. Put aside
every expectation of the classic "Hardcore" or "Metalcore"
genre that is widely spread within the present alternative music scene right
now and take note of Napoleon!
Napoleon
bursted into the scene with their debut EP ‘What We See’. It featured their
breakthrough song ‘Liars And Sellers’. A song full of amazing riffs and
technicality. It surprised a lot of people in the melodic hardcore scene, some
even dare to say that their guitarist is the most talented guitar player in the
Hardcore scene right now. I wouldn’t go that far but I have to admit that a
lack of talent is certainly not the case.
Napoleon
never ceases to amaze. Their new song ‘Brought To Suffer’ brings back the same
melody driven, technical and in your face Hardcore. Unfortunately they’ve
announced that their vocalist Josh Baker has left the band. A huge upset or
chance for the band to grow?

maandag 18 februari 2013 06:22 Confession release anticipated single (0)
We didn’t
have to wait long. It’s been a week since Confession released a teaser for their
new single after the controversial rebirth of the band. The new song premiered
a couple of hours ago and it’s called ‘This Is War’.
Their
typical heavy sound alongside Crafter’s characteristic vocals haven't changed. However
there are a lot more clean vocals noticeable. I predict a sound turnaround which
is definitely a good thing. The new song is refreshing and a welcome change.
Fans of their previous work will probably have some problems getting used to
their new sound though.
Give it a listen and judge for yourself.

Frustrated? Desperate and alone on Valentines day?
What better way to spend it while listening to some pissed off Hardcore that makes you want to bash everyone's face in? I recommend listening to:
Landscapes, four guys from the UK who sound like a mixture of Have Heart and More Than Life. Pumped up, Energetic, Dark and frustrated.
Happy valentines day!
